CCYP Giving Circle Awards $10k to Local Nonprofits

From Cape Cod Young Professionals:

The Cape Cod Young Professionals (CCYP) Giving Circle recently awarded $10,000 in grants to six local nonprofits serving the Cape Cod community.

"The Giving Circle Grant Program helps CCYP expand its community impact by funding creative projects and programs that address key needs for young professionals age 45-and-under on Cape Cod, like year-round housing, child care, and career development,” said CCYP Chief Executive Officer Lauren Barker. “We are pleased to support these programs, which each meet a critical need for young workers in our community."

Launched in 2015 in partnership with The Cape Cod Foundation, CCYP's Giving Circle is a unique collective giving program that pools charitable donations from nearly 100 monthly and annual donors to amplify impact and make a tangible difference in the lives of young professionals on Cape Cod. Since its inception, the Giving Circle has awarded a total of $30,000 in grant funding to local nonprofits while also supporting CCYP’s ongoing efforts to connect, engage, and advance young professionals on Cape Cod.

“CCYP’s Giving Circle beautifully illustrates how, by working together, we can advance the critical work of local nonprofit organizations each year and build resources for the future,” said Kristin O’Malley, President and CEO of The Cape Cod Foundation.

Giving Circle donors can choose their level of involvement in the annual grant-making process by identifying funding priorities, reviewing applications, and advising in the final grant selection.

This year’s recipients are:

Cape Cod Child Development, $1,000

To support the translation of Pre-School, Family Child Care, and School Age program informational documents and online applications into both Spanish and Portuguese.
