Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Meet With Red Sox In London

LONDON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Red Sox are in England to face the New York Yankees for the MLB London Series.

Prior to the game on Saturday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met with met with the Red Sox. Markle shared a hug with Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts.

According to The Boston Globe, the two are actually distant relatives — connected through a marriage between their ancestors in the 1920s. There is also evidence they are related through ancestors 150 years ago in Alabama.

The Red Sox and Yankees had an eventful first inning during their Saturday game. It first looked rough for the Red Sox at first as the Yankees took the lead 6-0 in the first half of the inning. But, the Red Sox tied the game 6-6 by the end of the first inning.

The entire first inning in London lasted for about an hour.
