More Weekend Shark Sightings Lead To Beach Closures

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Multiple shark sightings were reported over the weekend, leading to beach closures.

At least five sharks were spotted on Sunday, which caused beaches on Cape Cod and Nantucket to be closed to swimming.

Head of the Meadow Beach, Ballston Beach, Marconi Beach, and Newcomb Hollow on Cape Cod were all closed to swimming for an hour on Sunday.

A shark sighting off Cisco Beach in Nantucket led to the closure of all south shore beaches.
