BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Red Sox made it three in a row with Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Athletics.
Aside from questions about the team's inconsistency, there's another area people seem to be interested in asking manager Alex Cora about—whether he plans to visit the White House next week with his club to celebrate the Sox' latest championship.
"I'll let you guys know when I decide," he said. "You don't have to worry about that one, I'll let you guys know."
The Sox will visit with President Donald Trump after a three-game series in Baltimore, but Cora remains at least publicly undecided on whether he'll join in on the festivities.
You may remember, in January, Cora was outspoken about his native Puerto Rico's need for hurricane relief, and he indicated then he could skip the trip to Washington because of Trump's policies toward the island.
Trump hosted Baylor's women's college basketball team Monday to recognize their national title win, but the men's champs from Virginia decided they won't attend a White House gathering.
