Massachusetts State Representative Steve Xiarhos pays tribute to the men and women who have served and sacrificed for the country in a pair of State House ceremonies.
Xiarhos says he was proud to represent the Marine Corps League Detachment 125 Cape Cod in remembering the 37-thousand Massachusetts residents who have given their lives in service, beginning with the shot heard 'round the world in Lexington.
The Barnstable District representative says he had the deep honor of reading several names, including that of his son, Marine Corporal Nicholas Xiarhos who lost his life in 2009 while serving in Afghanistan.
