Anthony's Cummaquid Inn Fire Suspects Plead Not Guilty

The suspects charged in connection with a November fire at the old Anthony's Cummaquid Inn have pleaded not guilty.

Twenty-two-year-old Jacob Ladner and 18-year-old Isabella Medeiros were arraigned Tuesday in Barnstable District Court on charges that include burning a building, breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony and wanton destruction of property.

Both suspects have been released on personal recognizance under the condition that they be drug and alcohol free and subject to random testing.

Ladner and Medeiros were arrested Monday after Yarmouth carried out search warrants on their phones and reportedly found the evidence needed in the case.

A pretrial conference is scheduled for April 11th.
