Barnstable County leaders are standing up against proposed changes to the Clean Water State Revolving Fund plan.
County Commissioners and the Assembly of Delegates say the revisions could disrupt critical wastewater projects across Cape Cod.
The Assembly has passed a resolution opposing the Intended Use Plan and members want the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection to reverse them.
The Commission says towns have spent years developing wastewater solutions to protect the environment and economy and the changes undermine that progress and create financial uncertainty that could stop projects in their tracks.
