Former Harwich resident and retired Pfizer Global President John Mitchell left 50-million-dollars to Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gill, Massachusetts.
Mitchell, who passed away in 2022, was a scholarship student at the school in the 1950's and he went on to graduate with degrees from Yale and New York University.
The school will use Mitchell's endowment for need-based scholarships and to expand support for faculty.
