The Barnstable Police Department says a Sunday incident on Bristol Avenue in Hyannis ended without injuries.
Police posted a message on social media yesterday morning saying officers were working an active criminal investigation in the area and Bristol Avenue had been shut down.
At 2:45 p.m. police reported that the situation had been resolved, and the roadway had been reopened.
There are no details about the nature of the investigation.
