A Sandwich man has lost 50-thousand-dollars in an online scam.
The man apparently fell victim to a pop up scam where a message appeared on his tablet indicating the device had been corrupted.
The man then called a phone number that the pop up claimed was for Apple's fraud department, and was told he had to deposit 50-thousand-dollars in cash into a bitcoin machine to fix the problem.
Sandwich Police are continuing to investigate the theft.
