Feds To Hold Meeting On Nantucket About Wind Power Issues

Federal officials will be holding a public information session next month on recent blade failure at the Vineyard Wind One project.

The federal Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement will be holding the session at the request of Nantucket officials on January 14th, and the meeting will be entirely online.

Energy production at the offshore wind farm was halted in July when a huge blade from one of the wind turbines crashed into the ocean.

Members of the public have until December 30th to submit written questions in advance for the federal regulators.
