Love. Live. Local. is inviting Cape Codders to take the Shift Local Pledge and commit to spending at least ten-percent of their holiday gift budgets at locally owned businesses.
Last year nearly 170 people took the pledge and supported 309 local businesses for more than 177-thousand-dollars invested in the local economy.
The nonprofit says for every 100-dollars spent at a local business; 68-dollars stays in the local economy compared to 43-dollars spent at national retailers.
