Sandwich Using Some Opioid Settlement Funds For Full-Time Social Worker

The Town of Sandwich is using Opioid Abatement Settlement funds to hire a full-time social worker.

Ms. Parker Monks began serving in the position last month and has been working closely with all Town departments to provide guidance and resources to residents in need of social services.

In a Facebook posting, the Town says in the coming weeks it will report on the Opioid Working Group recommendations about how to use remaining litigation funds to address the causes and impacts of addiction in the community.
