It's the height of deer mating season and that has led to a number of deer-related accidents on Cape Cod roadways.
Drivers should be alert at all times, especially in areas where there are deer crossing signs and extra caution is recommended during dusk and dawn.
During mating season, deer may move into more populated areas where there is a greater chance of a collision.
Deer are unpredictable and they can appear in front of a vehicle suddenly, and without warning.
