Hyannis Man Sentenced On Firearms Charge

A 33-year-old Hyannis man has been sentenced to six-years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. In July, Ryan Diefenbach pleaded guilty to possessing and selling a Chinese-made semi-automatic carbine rifle to a confidential informant in 2021.

He was banned from having possession a firearm because of several previous felony convictions.

Following prison time, Diefenbach will be on supervised release for three years.
