The National Weather Service says a Coastal Flood Watch is in effect for Barnstable and Nantucket counties through this afternoon.
Some coastal roads could become impassable at high tide which is around 2 p.m.
In addition, there is a High Surf Advisory in place for the same locations through seven o'clock this evening.
Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions are expected along with localized beach erosion.
