Leslie's Pharmacy in Vineyard Haven will close at the end of the month.
In a Facebook post, the family-run business said it's been difficult operating as an independent pharmacy due to the financial instability of the healthcare climate and no corporate overhead for insurance underpayments.
Over the next two weeks, the pharmacy will be filling prescriptions with the stock it has, but it will not be placing new orders.
The owners also say they will help customers move their existing refills to their pharmacy of choice.
The pharmacy's last business day will be Saturday, September 28th.
