Woman Injured After Lighter Ignites Perfume

A woman suffered serious burns after a cigarette lighter ignited perfume she was wearing in Hyannis.

The incident happened Friday night at a transitional housing facility called the Larry Doughty House on Pleasant Street.

The woman had burns to her head and upper torso, and items in her apartment also caught fire.

Fourteen residents of the housing facility were temporarily displaced by the fire, but they have been allowed to return to their homes.
