Beach Raking Resumes Regular Schedule At Ridgevale, Cockle Cove Beaches

The Town of Chatham says protected bird species have fledged, and beach raking has resumed on its regular schedule at Ridgevale and Cockle Cove beaches.

Raking at Harding's Beach is still restricted because of nesting shorebirds but it will increase once the birds have fledged.

Officials are asking the public to respect the areas that are roped off for shorebird protection.
