Yarmouth House Fire Injures Two, One Critically

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of an overnight house fire in Yarmouth that injured two people.

The blaze broke out at a home on Astor Way around 2:00 Thursday morning but crews were able to quickly knock down the flames.

One of the victims was a woman who suffered critical injuries and had to undergo CPR on the front lawn before being rushed to a hospital in Boston.

The other victim was a girl who escaped on her own and was taken to Cape Cod Hospital to be evaluated.

The family cat died in the fire.
