Onlookers caught a rare sight Wednesday as the official tall ship of Delaware made its way through the Cape Cod Canal.
The Kalmar Nyckel took advantage of the slack tide and began its journey through the canal around 7:00.
The replica of a storied Swedish ship that made four roundtrips carrying settlers to North America in the 1600s is slated to arrive at MacMillan Pier in P-town later today..
It'll stay for eleven days, offering two-and-a-half-hour excursions beginning on Friday.
