Donations For Homeless Prevention Center Backpack Program Sought

The Homeless Prevention Council in Orleans is asking for help from the community to support the 23 Backpack to School Program.

The organization hopes to provide around 400 curriculum-ready packs of school supplies for families-in-need on the Lower and Outer Cape.

School supplies can range from 100-dollars-per-child for kindergarteners to around 250-dollars per high school student, putting a strain on families struggling to make ends meet.

Donations of money and supplies are being accepted until August 18.
