Harwich Warns No Swimming Or Playing At Reservoir

The Town of Harwich has posted a water closure.

Officials say a harmful algae bloom has been observed in the West Reservoir.

For safety reasons, people and pets should not have any contact with the water in the pond, but if it does happen -- immediately shower with soap.

If pets drink the water, contact their veterinarian immediately.

Signs are posted to warn the public about the hazard and the Town is continuing to monitor the situation.
