The Steamship Authority is banking on its two new vessels making runs this fall.
GM Bob Davis told the Port Council that the Aquinnah and Barnstable should be ferrying passengers and freight between the C-and-I come October or November.
The two ships have been undergoing a lengthy conversion process from their previous lives as offshore supply vessels in the South.
They'll be replacing the two oldest vessels in the Steamship Authority's fleet.
