The Orleans Police Department is issuing safety reminders for the public ahead of the July 4th fireworks display at Rock Harbor.
Police say there will be heavy pedestrian traffic near the fireworks viewing areas so drivers should reduce their speeds and pay attention to no parking zones so emergency vehicles can get by.
Pedestrians should use crosswalks, follow traffic signals and avoid walking while looking at their phones.
Parents should keep their kids close, so they don't wander into traffic.
