Sean O'Brien Retiring After 4 Decades Of Barnstable County Service

The head of the Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment is working through the end of the month and that is it. 

Sean O'Brien is retiring July 1st after a 40-year career dedicated to keeping folks healthy.

He has been serving in his current role for the past seven years and was a key figurehead during the entire Covid pandemic.

O'Brien also played a key role in setting up the county's Regional Emergency Planning Committee in 2001 and led the panel for 20 years.
