Public Health Advisory Issued For Boland Pond

The Town of Orleans has issued a public health advisory for Boland Pond due to a potentially harmful algal bloom.

The water may be unsafe for people and pets, so the public should avoid the water and rinse off, if there is contact.

The advisory will be withdrawn after two samples - collected a week apart - show reduced cell counts or toxin levels.

The next update will be issued on Thursday, June 6.
