Officials reported a minor fuel spill in Vineyard Haven Harbor Thursday.
Tisbury harbormaster John Crocker says the spill was reported just before 9:30 a.m., and was quickly contained with absorbent material.
Crocker, who visited the site, says he believes the problem came from a towing/transport company site, and there is no danger to the environment.
He further commented that incidents in the harbor are rare.
