The judge who will hear evidence in the trial of a Mansfield woman charged in the murder of her police officer boyfriend has laid down a series of regulations.
Forty-three-year-old Karen Read is charged with running over John O'Keefe outside a home in Canton in January 2022.
Judge Beverly Cannone has issued orders that ban demonstrations within 200 feet of the courthouse complex, and no loudspeakers or "audio-enhancing devices" will be permitted.
Further, no one may wear or display anything regarding the case inside the courthouse and police officers will not be allowed to appear in uniform.
Read's defense team claims their client was set up.
The trial is set to open on April 16th.
