An audit has determined the Steamship Authority lacks a proper cybersecurity program.
The Massachusetts State Auditor made the finding following a routine examination of the authority's operations from mid-2019 through 2021.
The audit called for the authority to monitor training of all employees and ensure all have completed the program.
A spokesperson says the authority is already beginning to take corrective action, which Auditor Diana DiZoglio has confirmed.
