Electricity from an offshore wind farm south of Martha's Vineyard is now reaching the New England power grid.
Project developer Avangrid confirms that five megawatts of power from a single turbine are now being sent to the grid through a connection in Barnstable.
Once complete, the wind farm will feature more than 60 turbines, creating enough electricity to power around 400 thousand homes.
