All eyes remain on the State Senate where Susan Moran announced last week, she is not seeking re-election.
She instead will be running for Barnstable County Clerk of the Superior Court.
The announcement has set off a firestorm of activity. State Rep Dylan Fernandes has already announced his plan to run for the seat on the democratic side.
Republicans are also considering a run.
State Rep Steven Xiarhos and Matt Muratore are also considering runs but have so far not made any final decisions.
Xiarhos however does not live in the district.
