Woods Hole Gets New Walking Trails

A new walking trail has opened in Woods Hole, designed to show visitors the impact of climate change.

The ResilientWoodsHole Climate Walking Trail is a self-guided, twelve-stop tour of just over two miles, that shows the most climate-vulnerable spots in the area and shows the effects of erosion, rising sea levels, and storms.

The project is presented by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

Studies show Woods Hole has experienced a sea level rise of nearly ten inches since 1932, and that by 2070, one-third of the community's roads could be underwater.
