Airbnb Helps After Reservation Cancelled Because Of Service Dog

Airbnb is covering the cost of a new stay for a couple getting married on a Cape Cod beach who ran into a problem because of their service dog.

WCVB-TV reports the dog belongs to Steve Bohn, an Army veteran who was awarded a Purple Heart after surviving a suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan in 2008.

Bohn and Lauren Laliberte had their reservation canceled by their host in Harwich after they were informed of a plan to bring the dog along.

An Airbnb spokesperson said they are investigating the matter, and that the company has policies in place that protect the rights of guests with service animals.
