Debate Continues On Cape Cod Immigrants

The Bourne Select Board and town board of health held a joint meeting to discuss the migrants living in local motels as part of Governor Maura Healey's migrant shelter emergency plan.

The Cape Cod Times reports the health board voted to ask the Healey administration for clarity.

Bourne regulations call for guests to depart after staying three weeks, and local officials say they intend to enforce those rules.

Selectmen Jared MacDonald said Bourne is a "summer community" which is why those restrictions are in place.
