Shark season is in full swing here on the Cape & Islands. and sightings of the Apex Predators jumped this week on the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy’s Sharktivity app.
Dozens of alerts coming in all week as tourists pack the beaches, and many say they now fear going into the water.

Dr. Greg Skomal, of the Massachusetts Division of Marine FisherieS says if you stay close to shore, don't go out to deep and stay alert you should be able to enjoy your time in the water.
A Nantucket beach was shut down earlier this week after a Great White was spotted attacking a seal. hotspots for the sharks are off Chatham, Truro and Wellfleet.
