Yarmouth Bans Single Use Plastic Bags- Will Other Communities Follow?

Yarmouth residents are joining the push to ban single-use plastics.

Voters have approved a petition article that outlaws retail sales of single-use plastic water bottles under a gallon starting December 31st.

Voters also approved a ban of single-use containers and cutlery for take-out beginning September 1st, 2024.

Similar bans will be considered at town meetings Monday in Harwich, Brewster and Sandwich.
