An early start to the day for Wareham Firefighters, knocking down a wind driven house fire on Atlantic Avenue Sunday morning.
Firefighters quickly called for a second alarm which brought crews from the Onset Fire Department.
Fire Captain John Walcek tells us it took about an hour before the blaze was brought under control.
Officials say that the only occupant of the home and his pet cat was able to get out unharmed.
Fire Chief John Kelly says that the cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation, but also says that the blaze is not considered suspicious.
