The United States Department of Agriculture is investing $42.5-million dollars for Cape Cod water resources restoration projects.
21 individual projects will receive part of the money.
A large chunk of the funding, up to $29-million, will be dedicated to the Herring River restoration project in Wellfleet.
The agency worked with Cape officials and all 15 Cape towns in determining the importance of the projects.
All are expected to be completed in about 5 years.
