Sandwich High School officials are back-tracking on their controversial decision to suspend a 15-year-old student until he's arraigned on charges relating to a fight.
A white student allegedly racially bullied 15-year-old Ras Russell for months leading up to the altercation.
Russell is currently suspended and facing several charges, including felony assault with a dangerous weapon for the shoes he was wearing.
The school was waiting for his hearing this week before allowing him to return, but the judge moved his court date to May 4th.
Sandwich School Superintendent Pamela Gould says they're now working to get him back to class since the delay isn't his fault.
