Falmouth police are warning the public of a new scam.
They say an anonymous resident of Minot Street reported that a door-to-door solicitor came to her house on Tuesday wearing a lanyard with a town I.D.
The unknown solicitor requested the resident's Eversource bill and her email address.
The town of Falmouth is not selling solar and all door to door solicitors in the town are required to register with the police department.
