Falmouth Officials Say Threat Of New Covid-19 Variant Remains

Falmouth health officials say the Omicron surge is over, but the threat of another Covid-19 variant isn't.  

Falmouth Health Agent Scott McGann said the local 14-day positivity rate is close to the CDC's 5% threshold that would indicate an outbreak is under control.  

McGann also pointed to the fact that 84% of Falmouth residents are fully vaccinated.  

However, he warned another Covid-19 variant could take over just as quickly as Omicron did.
