State Voting On Bill Allowing Illegals To Obtain Driver's Licenses

The Massachusetts House will soon vote on a bill that would allow illegal immigrants to obtain state driver's licenses. 

House speaker Ron Mariano's office indicates that the debate and vote on the bill will take place next week. 

Mariano is working to secure enough support to override a veto from Governor Charlie Baker, who has opposed similar bills in the past. 

The bill is expected to advance out of the Transportation Committee today to set the stage for the house debate.
