Governor Charlie Baker has secured a deal with the federal government to replace the Cape Cod bridges.
Returning from a pentagon meeting with a top Army Corps of Engineers official, the Governor told GBH News that he's confident he's secured a commitment from the federal government to pay for the replacement of the two aging bridges at an estimated cost up to $2-billion.
Baker told the news station he’s optimistic the financing plan could be launched before the end of the year.
