A pedestrian was flown to a mainland hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Martha’s Vineyard Monday night.
The Vineyard Gazette reports the accident involving a pickup truck happened at the Five Corners intersection of Vineyard Haven.
The 58-year-old woman from Vineyard Haven who was struck is expected to survive, according to police.
The driver was cited for a crosswalk violation and failing to stop at an intersection.
