Mandatory Mask Mandate Unlikely For Barnstable County

Towns across the Cape are going back to indoor mask mandates as Covid cases rise, but it doesn’t look like there will be a mandate at the county level.

At last week’s County Commissioners meeting, Commissioner Ron Bergstrom said people aren’t going to want to go back to further Covid restrictions. 

Bergstrom says he did follow up on the Covid vaccination mandate for county employees, saying that getting the shot is the best method of defense against the virus.
