Barnstable County's employees are facing a Coronavirus vaccine mandate.
The Board of Commissioners voted 2-to-1 yesterday to enact a policy that requires employees to either show proof of vaccination or submit to weekly PCR testing.
Board member Mark Forest provided the sole "no" vote, saying the policy should have included language about medical and religious exemptions, adding that varying policies at the local, state and federal levels has caused confusion.
The vaccination deadline for employees who choose to get the shot is December 31st.
