Oak Bluffs Police Department Says Rifle Is Missing

The Oak Bluffs Police Department is missing a firearm, marking the second time this has happened on Martha's Vineyard this year.  

The MV Times reports a press release was issued by O.B. Select Board Chair Brian Packish which said a Bushmaster M4 rifle appears to be missing and that the police department launched an independent investigation.  

An employee who last checked out the rifle has been placed on paid leave; earlier this year it was revealed that a Glock handgun was missing from the Tisbury Police Department.
