Police in Yarmouth are warning against reporting false crimes after somebody made a fake call about a gun at a the Royal II restaurant last week.
Police say 51-year-old Michael Dillen, of Marstons Mills, called to report an employee pulled a gun on him.
That prompted a large police response.
Police eventually determined the 911 call was fake and arrested Dillen shortly after.
