Judge Rejects State Police Request For Delay In Vaccine Mandate

A judge is rejecting a request by the State Police Union to block the mandate that all state employees be vaccinated for Coronavirus.

The troopers had requested a delay in the October 17th deadline to allow bargaining on the issue.

A Suffolk Superior Court judge rejected the Union's claim that failing to push back the deadline would cause irreparable harm to troopers.

The judge also ruled that the public interest is better served by stopping the spread of the virus.
